Boost Your Family Budget: Ways To Save While Having Fun

Inflation is hitting families hard?  School fees are climbing, food costs are rising, and it’s getting harder to afford family entertainment. The good news is there are several ways to save money while having fun – even with inflation hitting our wallets.

Here are some ideas to help you save money and have fun:

  1. Embrace Free

Start your search for free fun activities by visiting the community calendar. There are several places that offer free events regularly, such as the local Parks and Rec department. And there are often venues that offer days with no admission cost, such as free museum days.

  1. Visit the Local Library

The local library offers far more than books. Modern libraries offer movies, music, craft kits, and more! Plus, they offer a variety of free events for kids and adults.

  1. Take Food with You

According to Renolon, “Close to $1200 is spent on fast food by one person in a year.” The cost of food on the go is even higher for busy families. Instead of stopping at fast food restaurants on the way to and from school, pack a cooler with food to eat on the go.

  1. Carpool with Other Families

Inflation has caused car-associated prices to skyrocket. The daily commute to and from school and extracurricular activities is adding up and hurting parents’ wallets. You want your kids to keep enjoying their dance classes and soccer games, so consider carpooling with other families to cut costs.

With CTS you significantly bring down costs. You no longer have to leave work to do pickups, this increases your productivity time as well as wear from having constantly rush in traffic from work to school to home then to work again.
